Chris Oakham graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering via the student apprenticeship scheme at Leyland Truck and Bus subsequently moving on to car retailing and then a car importer. For the past three decades he has been a consultant and analyst working for Sewells International, Alison Associates and Trend Tracker. He is the author of numerous research reports and articles on the automotive retail sector. Now semi-retired, Chris continues to work on projects of interest including Motor Trader’s Top 200 and Top 50.
Martin Gurdon is a motoring writer and editor who has contributed to Motor Trader for over twenty years. Martin also writes for The Sunday Telegraph, Evening Standard, Octane and Classic & Sportscar magazines. Martin has been a roving judge for the Motor Trader Awards since 2008.

Steve Loader is a journalist and PR consultant specialising in cars and the motor industry. He has contributed to many publications and worked with several manufacturers and industry suppliers.

Sue Baker has been a specialist motoring writer, road tester and motor industry commentator for more than 40 years. She is a vice-president of the Guild if Motoring Writers and UK judge on the international Women’s World Car of the Year jury. She is a current columnist in Diesel Car and Eco Car magazine, and writes on dealer network and industry topics as Carscribe columnist in Motor Trader.
